Law of 6 June 2000 (France)
The Law of 6 June 2000 is a French law aimed at promoting equal access for women and men to electoral mandates and elected offices. Known as the "parity law," it mandates that political parties present an equal number of male and female candidates for municipal, regional, senatorial, and European Parliament elections.
