University of Michigan football sign-stealing scandal

In 2023, the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) opened an investigation into sign stealing accusations against staff members of the Michigan Wolverines football team. According to a decision released by a Division I Committee on Infractions panel, the Michigan football program was found to commit violations over three seasons involving an off-campus, in-person scouting scheme, impermissible recruiting, head coach responsibility, failure to cooperate, and failure to monitor.
