2009–2013 Albanian political crisis

The 2009–2013 Albanian political crisis was a prolonged period of political deadlock, parliamentary boycotts, street protests and institutional confrontation in Albania following the disputed 2009 Albanian parliamentary election. The crisis centred on the conflict between the governing Democratic Party of Albania (PD), led by Prime Minister Sali Berisha, and the opposition Socialist Party of Albania (PS), led by Edi Rama.
